It started with one kid who dreaded spelling
Play & Learn Kids began at our kitchen table. My daughter Sofia was struggling with her weekly spelling words — and dreaded every practice session. But she'd happily play video games for hours.
So I made her a deal: what if the games were the practice? I started building little worlds where the only way to race the car, defend the castle or tame the dragon was to spell that week's words — the exact things she already loved to play.
She stopped dreading spelling. She started asking for it, and her scores took off. We called it "Sofia's Word Quest." It worked so well that we opened it up for other kids too — and that became Play & Learn Kids.
